South Australia is experiencing severe weather conditions with flooding across the State Road conditions in some areas of the pastoral area have changed with  some roads affected this morning.

Oodnadatta Track – Marla to Oodnadatta is “Open With Warnings” – Caution at ponded water 

Painted Desert Road “Closed”  – Due to rain

Rain overnight in the Outback
Oodnadatta received 1.4 ml overnight
Macumba Station received 3.5 ml
Nilpinna Station received 1.2 ml
Mount Barry received 5 ml
Anna Creek received 2 ml
Marree received 1.6 ml
Coober Pedy received 1.8 ml

All have reported High Humidity with further rain still occuring

Elsewhere in the state, motorists are advised that the downpour is expected to continue throughout the afternoon. Police and Emergency Services expect the following areas to be impacted again;

ADELAIDE METRO ADVISE:
Gawler line is closed between Salisbury and Gawler due to flooding of the track near Broadmeadows.
Adelaide Metro is arranging substitute buses and advise customers a train shuttle will be available between Gawler and Gawler Central.

Port Road and Cheltenham Road intersection
Findon Road and Crittenden Road intersection
Port River Expressway near Port Wakefield Road in both directions including an impact to the Salisbury Highway.
