The CFS was called to a house fire in the APY Lands just after 6am this morning following a triple zero call that was made alerting SA Police, who then advised the CFS of the structure fire.

Firefighters from the Ernabella (Pukatja) Brigade responded to the residential property, approximately 1300 kilometres North West of Adelaide near the Northern Territory border.

Crews arrived to find the house fully involved, and despite their efforts it was completely destroyed.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and damage is estimated at $300,000.
