Happy Father’s Day to Coober Pedy Dads

On Sunday 7th September over 200 parents and children attended Coober Pedy’s Father’s Day Event, held at Oxiana Oval. The event organised by Child Care Links, included games, races, competitions, contests, balloons, face painting, free food and a free kite for every child. 

Many families enjoyed just relaxing on the oval with friends and family in the beautiful early spring weather in the outback. 

Tanya Lauder, ‘Child Care Links’ Officer from the District Council of Coober Pedy, thanks all of the people who helped and participated in Father’s Day which through the Child Care Links Program has now become a great annual family event.
 
Special thanks to Dragan Rusmir, Dusan Rusmir and Boro Rapaic for cooking the lamb and the pork on the spit.

The Door Prize which included donations from Ampol, Wear-House Arcade, Lucas Supermarket, Miners Store/BP and OME was won by Audrey Hull.
