Police and emergency services attended a fatal crash in the State’s far north.
Just before 9pm, last night police a single vehicle ignited into flames after hitting a horse on the Stuart Highway about 45km north of Marla. The sole occupant, driver of the car died at the scene.
Major Crash officers attended and are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
The Stuart Highway was closed for several hours.
This death takes the road toll to 88 compared to 90 at the same time last year.
