South Australians who have not yet enrolled to vote in the State election on March 15 have until 12 noon tomorrow (Friday, February 21) to do so.
South Australia’s Electoral Commissioner, Ms Kay Mousley, said anyone who would turn 18 on or before Election day was required to enrol, while anyone who had changed address since the last election should also ensure their details were correct.
“Enrolment forms are available at all post offices or by downloading a form from the Electoral Commission website, http://www.ecsa.sa.gov.au. However, they must be completed and with the Commission by 12 noon tomorrow when the roll closes.
“People who have changed address can also check their details by going to the Commission website and using the online verification tool.”
Ms Mousley said enrolment was compulsory and “no questions will be asked” if people enroll before the close of rolls.
“It’s vitally important that anyone who is eligible to vote gets the opportunity to have a say in how the State is governed during the next four years,” she said.
