A man tracked his stolen iPad to a Greenacres address using the ‘Find my iPad’ tracking app yesterday.
Police attended and searched the premises at about 5.45pm on Tuesday 17 December, allegedly locating the stolen iPad and two computers, also suspected of being stolen.
Four teenaged boys, aged 13 from Campbelltown, 14 from Pennington, 16 from Greenacres and 16 from Northfield, were all arrested for a range of offences, including unlawful possession, breach of bail, assault police, resist arrest and hinder police.
The Campbelltown youth was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today. The other boys were all bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 6 January.
Sergeant Darren Vance, Holden Hill Police, said, “Police encourage everyone to install and enable tracking features on any compatible electronic device such as iPads, android tablets, iPhones and similar.”
