UPDATE: Police have attended a serious road crash about 90kms south of Coober Pedy in the State’s Far North.
Just after 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon police were alerted to a single car roll-over on the Stuart Highway.
A 66 year old woman from Alice Springs died at the scene The 71 year old driver also from Alice Springs was seriously injured and flown to hospital.
EARLIER TODAY: Police are at the scene of a serious crash south of Coober Pedy in the State’s far north.
Police and emergency services responded to reports of a single car rollover on the Stuart Highway just after 4.30pm today (8 October).
Traffic on the Stuart Highway will be closed between Coober Pedy and Glendambo. Motorists are asked to please be patient if driving in the area.
Major Crash Investigators will be flying to the scene.
