Wanted man Danny Ferguson has been arrested by police approximately 100 km north of Oodnadatta.

Just before 10am this morning police located Mr Ferguson eight kilometres north of Hamilton Station.  The man was wanted for murder following the death of a woman at Oodnadatta on Friday 3 July.

Working closely with Northern Territory Police, Major Crime Detectives and Far North LSA police made the arrest following an extensive search in the state’s Far North which included using the skills of an Aboriginal tracker.

At 3.30pm on Friday 3 July a 34-year-old woman from Oodnadatta was taken to the local clinic by three people. At the time, the woman was unresponsive and died a short time later.
