A young female child has tragically died at the scene of a serious accident when a car rolled over on the Umuwa to Fregon Road in the State’s Far North at 7.35pm on Friday night.

Another passenger was seriously injured however there are no further details at this time.

Police and emergency services  responded to the accident on the remote APY Lands.

The death takes the road toll to 48 compared to 56 this time last year.
