Rex have announced it will launch flights between Adelaide and Sydney from next month.
The new route, Rex’s eighth domestic route, will begin on 29 June.
The daily flights will be operated by Rex’s Boeing 737-800NGs with special launch fares starting from $99* each way now on sale. Business Class fares are also available from an affordable $399.
Adelaide is already part of Rex’s domestic and expansive regional network. Rex has been operating domestic services to the ‘City of Churches’ from Melbourne since 31 March 2021.
“This new route brings us one step closer to our ambition to fly between every capital city in Australia. More new routes will be announced shortly,” Rex Deputy Chairman, the Hon John Sharp AM, said.
“This service provides South Australian passengers with more choice when flying on our second most popular route, and will start in time for the July school holiday peak,” said Adelaide Airport Managing Director, Brenton Cox.
South Australian Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison, said, “We’re already seeing very strong performance from Adelaide Airport, and we absolutely welcome further commitment from Rex to add extra – and importantly new – flights from Adelaide to Sydney, one of the key aviation partners for South Australia”.
