SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for DAMAGING WIND

For people in the Northeast Pastoral district.
Issued at 5:00 pm Friday, 3 October 2008. 

High-based thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h, but little rainfall, in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Moomba and Innamincka.

A wind gust to 90 km/h occurred at Moomba earlier this afternoon.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
