South Australian businesses can now switch to energy-saving LED lighting easily and at low cost through a government-backed program.
The LED Lighting Upgrade South Australia is part of the Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme (REPS), which helps businesses lower power bills and reduce carbon emissions.
Eligible businesses can get free or low-cost LED lights for warehouses, offices, shops, and more. Benefits include lower electricity bills, better lighting quality, and improved workplace safety.
LED lights use up to 75% less energy than halogen bulbs and last 5–10 times longer. This means fewer replacements, less maintenance, and long-term savings.
Efficient Energy Group (EEG), an accredited REPS provider, manages the whole process—site checks, product choice, rebate paperwork, and installation—using licensed electricians and approved products.
Who can apply:
- Must have an ABN
- Must operate from a commercial property
- Must use less than 100,000 kWh per year
Upgrades improve visibility, reduce eyestrain, and create safer, brighter workplaces. They also help businesses lower their carbon footprint, which is important to many customers.
The program is voluntary, and businesses can choose any accredited provider. EEG offers quick service, full project management, and a two-year warranty.
