The Ampol Glendambo Roadhouse located at the town of Glendambo on the Stuart Highway SA is about 254 kilometres south of Coober Pedy, and 286km north of Port Augusta. The Roadhouse will close its doors and cease to operate at the close of business on Thursday 25 July 2024.
The AM-PM GLENDAMBO TRAVELSTOP is the new owner of the outgoing Ampol Glendambo Roadhouse. From Friday this week, travellers will be able to stop at Glendambo BP for all of their travelling supplies.
The Glendambo Ampol Roadhouse has been an important stop on the Stuart Highway, offering a range of facilities for people travelling north 255km to Coober Pedy.
As residents living and travelling in the Remote/Far North of the State we say thank you to the Glendambo Ampol Roadhouse operators, and staff for their dedicated and lengthy service to outback travellers.
Services provided by the Glendambo Ampol Roadhouse have been fuel & gas, a licensed restaurant, EFTPOS facilities, pay phone, male and female toilets, cold ice for travellers.
The town of Glendambo was constituted on 13 May 1982 and was derived from the Glendambo Homestead. Boundaries for the locality were established on 23 October 2003 and include both the homestead and the Government town of Glendambo
