FAMILY FIRST MLC Dennis Hood is circulating a petition and has raised in Parliament concerns regarding massive increases in the electricity tariff for Coober Pedy and 12 other outback towns that are off the grid‟.

“Because Coober Pedy and other towns rely on desalinated water, it’s actually a double-whammy‟ because water prices shoot up as well”

“I’m collecting a petition to bring to the Minister, and I’ll keep raising the power and water issues in Parliament – because this is a real kick in the teeth for outback South Australia,” notes Mr Hood.
